Rooted in international friendship, the day encourages young people and communities to grow in peace education and global citizenship — learning to listen across differences, act with compassion, and build a more just and peaceful world. Peace is a daily practice shaped by empathy, dialogue, respect for human dignity, and care for creation. As global citizens, our choices — what we learn, how we live, and how we respond to the needs of others — ripple outward in ways we may never fully see.
